I cried for you today 

Although that’s nothing new

I’m sure by now you’ve noticed

That I often cry for you

I’m having a very hard time just accepting that this is real

There’s nothing to be said or done, to allow my heart to heal

I cry for you all the time

Sometimes I feel you near

It comforts me for the moment

But then your presence disappears

I just want to talk to you, just one more chance

I need to tell you that I love you

I want to hold your hand

There are so many maybes, ifs, I wishes

A ton of questions with no answers

There are so many whys, how could yous, I remembers

But there is no more time

The tears they never dry

Before new ones fall

People say I am strong

They must not know the meaning

Because everyday that passes, I’m weakened by my broken heart’s bleeding

Leaning on God to help me get by

Relying on the life that I created just to make me smile

It’s hard

You can’t imagine

And there’s nothing I can do

But hey mommy, if you’re listening, I’ll always cry for you
